My Favorite YouTube Workouts
I need a little variety in my life. That means doing the same workouts day in and day out (at different intensities) just doesn’t cut it. I get bored. So to keep me engaged and coming back for more, I like to find new workouts. And YouTube is the perfect place to find them. Today I’m sharing my top three YouTube workouts.
With over 30 million workout videos on YouTube alone, it is the platform of choice if you’re looking for something new. Looking to try a new type of exercise? Whether you’re looking for pilates, kickboxing, weightlifting, or barre, you will find something on YouTube.
Additionally, I love that workouts on YouTube allow me to work out with professional trainers that I normally wouldn’t have access to. I want to work out with credentialed trainers and you’ll find thousands of them on YouTube. On the flip side, you will also find quacks without experience so make sure you do some research before jumping in. And as always, if you haven’t worked out or are changing something, you should first consult with your doctor.
My Favorite YouTube Workouts
Kayla Itsines
Kayla Itsines is the creator of the wildly popular BBG program and the Sweat app. She has great at-home workouts and modifications for every fitness level. While she populates her app with most of her workouts, there are some free ones on YouTube and she also has great explainer videos that teach you the correct form for some of the more complex moves. I’ve also used her Sweat app in the past and it is really good if you’re looking for training from one specific trainer.
THENX
Run by Chris Heria and his team of trainers, THENX provides workouts that require minimal equipment with easy-to-understand instructional videos. He has thousands of videos on his channel (and on his site) that target key areas of focus. His workouts are intense (in a good way) and will get you where you want to be.
Tracy Anderson
Tracy Anderson is one of my favorite online trainers and the results she delivers from her program are nothing short of amazing. She has a client list that reads like a who’s who of celebrities and as well as a cadre of regular people just like you (and me) who count on her to keep them in shape. Tracy focuses on pilates-like movements that feel small but will kick your rear.
